Most Recent Update:

Dear Church Family,

It is with great sorrow that we must announce Christ Church United Methodist will not be gathering corporately tomorrow, March 15. Like many of you, we have been following this evolving story closely. This decision was made after much thought and prayer from our pastor as well as consultation with both our Bishop and staff. At this time, we believe this is the wisest and most responsible action we can take moving forward.

We recognize that many of you may find this announcement as shocking or unexpected. Please understand that it is never our intent to increase fear or anxiety amongst our church family. This decision was made not with panic, but with an abundance of peace and precaution. We encourage you to respond to this situation with the same discernment, love, and wisdom. We ask that you continue to practice responsible social distancing and adhere to any recommendations made by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO).

What should I do this Sunday?

Pray – We are asking you to continue to pray for our community and nation during this difficult time. Our ministry to our community and the world will not cease during this time, so please continue to keep our staff and volunteers in your prayers.

Read – Continue to read through the Scriptures during this time. Take some quiet time with God to allow His Word to speak to you throughout this process.

Give – Many of you are already giving through our online platform. During this time, we would also remind you that the ministry of your church continues in our community and world. Please remember to give God’s tithe, and your offerings. You can set up a one-time or recurring gift at https://www.christchurchbham.com/give-now-online/.

What does this mean for future weeks?

Our hope is to be able to gather together at Christ Church as soon as possible. The church staff will be meeting this week to determine what steps need to be taken moving forward. Please continue to check your email and our social media sites for important updates.

Again, we are so grateful for your continued flexibility and understanding moving forward, as decisions for individual ministries and weekend services will be made on a weekly basis. Thank you for your patience and support; we are so encouraged by the way you demonstrate the love and peace of God in our community.

Sincerely,
Your Christ Church Staff[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column]
