November Series: This Generous Life

We try to be generous when we can.
We give when there's a need.
We chip in when someone asks.
We try to be kind.
But what if generosity is bigger than that?
What does generosity have to do with discipleship? Maybe you’ve thought about the question. Maybe you haven’t. When we do ask the question that way, it reframes the way we think about both generosity and being a disciple.
What if generosity is more than finances?
What if it includes the way we think about our time, our homes, our whole lives?
What if generosity isn’t simply a box to check?
If it’s integrated into becoming and being a disciple of Jesus, then it’s also about embodying the character of Jesus in relation to the people in our lives. And as that character takes root, it shows up everywhere: in how we worship, how we serve, and how we give.
Over three Sundays, we'll look at each of those.
So here's something to consider as we head into November:
Where do you see generosity in your own life?
Where do you notice its absence?
You don't have to have the answers yet. Just come ready to ask.
Join us this November for This Generous Life, Sundays at 8:15 in the Sanctuary or 10:45 in the Worship Center. Bring a friend, a neighbor, or someone in your family. We'd love for you to be part of it.
