Plenty of people want to make a life that makes a difference. But it's hard to know where to start. And sometimes things get in the way. Life happens. Goals get delayed. We get it. That's just how it is.
But does it have to be that way? Isn't it time to cut through the distractions? Isn't it time to focus on cultivating a fruitful life?
A fruitful life - that's the apostle Paul's prayer at the beginning of the letter to the Colossians. And that introduces some important questions. What does that kind of life look like? It's a life that introduces good into the world. It's a life that's pleasing to God. It's life that makes other people's lives better.
What's the way in to that sort of life? The answer we get in Paul's letter to the Colossians is that it starts with Jesus. He's the one who is able to make your life and my life fruitful and good and beneficial.
But if Jesus is the one who can do it, that means it's important to discover just who Jesus is and just what Jesus has done. And that's exactly the path that is carved out in this letter.
So, if you're asking the question: how do I make a life that makes a difference? Then you may just want to walk that path with us.
